On May 12, 2026, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến) and Bretagne INP (France) held an online signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening their partnership in training and research.

The signing ceremony was conducted online with the participation of representatives from both institutions. Representing Bretagne INP were Prof. Patrick Hénaff – Vice Director for International Relations, Bretagne INP; Prof. Gaétan Le Floch – Director of ESIAB, Bretagne INP; Assoc. Prof. Van Son Ho – Academic Coordinator of the cooperation programs under the agreement.

Bretagne INP is a prestigious French public engineering school network with recognized strengths in engineering, applied sciences, food technology, and innovation. Among its member institutions, ESIAB Bretagne INP — an engineering school affiliated with Bretagne INP and the University of Western Brittany (UBO) — specializes in education and research in food technology, microbiology, biotechnology, and food quality assurance. Established in 1991, ESIAB Bretagne INP is accredited by the French Engineering Degree Commission (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur – CTI) for the quality of its engineering programs.

The newly signed agreement will provide a favorable framework for Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến and ESIAB Bretagne INP to implement a broad range of collaborative activities in education and research. In particular, the two institutions will focus on strengthening cooperation in the field of Food Science and Technology. Under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Hùng, the defense followed the official academic procedures, including reviewing the candidate’s scientific background, training process, publications, and research achievements throughout the doctoral program.

During the defense, the candidate presented the key findings of the dissertation, focusing on the phytochemical analysis and evaluation of biological activities of Pandanus species in Vietnam. The committee engaged in in-depth academic discussions, raising questions on research methodology, results, and potential applications.

From a “Familiar Pandan Leaf” to Scientific Research with Practical Value

The dissertation explores two familiar plant species that remain under-researched.“Pandanus amaryllifolius is actually the pandan leaf we commonly use in cooking—making sticky rice, cakes, and adding color and fragrance to food.”

Building on its dual role as both a common ingredient and a traditional medicinal material, the research aims to clarify the relationship between phytochemical composition and biological activities.“I chose a subject that has practical applicability but has not been widely studied in scientific research. This represents a very promising direction.”

The research team also developed extraction techniques and optimized processes for application purposes: “We aim to create formulations with potential applications in pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics.”

Scientifically and Practically Significant Findings

The dissertation achieved notable results, particularly in establishing correlations between phytochemical constituents and biological activities of Pandanus species.“This is not an easy research direction due to challenges in sample collection, model design, and analysis.”

Additionally, the study optimized extraction conditions to enhance applicability: “The goal is to determine optimal conditions for producing formulations through simple yet scalable processes.”

The findings not only contribute academically but also open up opportunities for utilizing domestic natural resources in pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic industries.

Could you share some of Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s recent major achievements?

Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest: The 2025–2026 academic year marks a particularly dynamic phase in Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s development, reflecting strong and comprehensive growth in many aspects. Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s rise to sixth place among Vietnam’s leading universities, while maintaining second position among institutions specializing in science and technology, represents not only a significant milestone but also clear evidence of the university’s transformation from a young institution into a reputable actor within Vietnam’s higher education system.

At the same time, this rapid growth brings new demands and challenges, particularly in increasing the number of enrollment while strengthening institutional structures and enhancing university governance. In 2025, Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến welcomed 1,200 new students across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, bringing the training scale close to 4,000. Importantly, this growth is not only quantitative but also reflects an improvement in the quality of recruitment. Approximately 70 percent of admitted students selected Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến as their first or second choice, demonstrating growing trust among students and families in the university’s academic environment.

In 2025, Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến was honored to welcome the French President Emmanuel Macron and former Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến. Their visits reaffirmed the university’s role in training high-quality human resources in science and technology while further strengthening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.

In an increasingly internationalized higher education landscape, Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến continues to attract students from around the world. The university hosted 150 international students, mainly from France for internships, academic exchanges, and research activities, while 120 Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến students participated in exchange programs in France and other countries. These two-way mobility initiatives are an essential part of our identity, reflecting both the quality of our training and the strength of our international partnerships.

Research remains a strategic pillar of Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s development. To date, the university has produced more than 1,000 publications in international scientific journals, with an annual output of 150 to 200 papers and an average research productivity of 1.4 SCIE-indexed publications per lecturers-researchers. This is an important indicator not only of scientific productivity, but also of the university’s growing international visibility.

What evaluation and accreditation approaches has Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến adopted to enhance quality? 

Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest: Quality assurance plays a central role in Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s development strategy. Sometimes accreditation is seen simply as to obtain a label, but for us, it brings much deeper values. It is a substantive process of being evaluated by independent and international experts, which helps us to identify our strengths and areas for improvement. 

Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến has chosen to work with HCERES, a French accreditation organization recognized in Vietnam. We have been awarded institutional accreditation by HCERES for the period 2023–2028, which means Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến meets international standards across governance, training and research. 

We aim to achieve international accreditation for all of our academic programs. Up to now eight programs have already been accredited, and we have set a target of obtaining accreditation for four new programs each year.

Accreditation is valuable in two complementary ways. First, it allows us to benchmark our activities against international standards and practices. Second, it provides concrete and actionable recommendations for improvement. This external perspective is essential, as it encourages continuous reflection, adaptation, and enhancement of our academic programs.

For this reason, accreditation is not simply a requirement for a university; we consider it a strategic governance instrument for strengthening our internal quality assurance system while reinforcing Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s credibility nationally and internationally. 

Could you share Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s development direction for the coming years?

Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest: Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s development has been following a consistent vision: to become a leading university in Vietnam while affirming a distinctive international identity in training and research.

Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến has been steadily consolidating its position within Vietnam’s higher education system. In 2026, the university reached sixth place among Vietnam’s leading universities.

Our next objective is to enter international rankings. Preparations are underway for participation in major global rankings, including the QS Asia University Rankings, with the ambition of being listed by the 2027–2028 academic year.

At the same time, Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến continues to expand its international network. Beyond our long-standing French collaborations, Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến is strengthening cooperation with universities and research institutes in countries with advanced scientific and technological ecosystems such as Japan, South Korea, and Germany, through double programs, joint research projects, and faculty and student exchanges.

We are also placing strong emphasis on developing academic programs aligned with Vietnam’s emerging needs. Training high-quality human resources in science and technology has been at the core of Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s mission since its establishment. Our academic orientation is closely linked to Vietnam’s strategic development priorities, including nuclear energy, transport and logistics, and mineral resources.

Besides, Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến continues investing in infrastructure to enhance conditions for learning, teaching, and research. In addition to our existing facilities, we have brought into operation the 2H building on the campus of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, featuring state-of-art classrooms and laboratories, as well as open co-working space for students.

2026 marks your final year as Principal Rector of Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến. What priorities will you focus on during this period?

Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest: Although I am in the final year of my mandate, my core priorities remain unchanged. The focus is not on launching new personal initiatives, but on consolidating and strengthening the ongoing directions. 

Our priorities remain clear: continuing accreditation efforts with HCERES, expanding our international partnerships, developing new academic programs, strengthening student recruitment, and building high qualified academic staff. To support our growth and further enhance academic quality, Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến continues to implement policies to attract talented academics and researchers with international teaching and research experience.

The construction of our campus in Hoa Lac High-Tech Park is currently underway and remains a strategic project for Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s long-term development.

We have also benefited from the strong support of our governing body, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, as well as from the close and longstanding cooperation between Vietnam and France.

Behind these achievements is the often quiet but tireless dedication of our faculty, researchers, and administrative and technical staff. Their commitment has laid the foundation on which Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến has grown and continues to develop.

The mission opened up new avenues for collaboration in education and research within high-tech sectors such as semiconductors, AI, and life sciences.

Less than three months after the first official meeting between the two institutions, Nguyễn Bảo Minh – a third-year student in the Bachelor of Food Science and Technology (FST) program at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến) – arrived at L’École supérieure d’ingénieurs en agroalimentaire de Bretagne atlantique (the Higher School of Engineers in Atlantic Brittany Agrifood – ESIAB), part of INP Bretagne, in Brest, France. In January 2026, Prof. Patrick Hénaff – Deputy Head of International Relations at INP Bretagne – held an official online meeting with the Life Sciences Faculty leadership and Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s Department of Research, Innovation and External Relations, chaired by Assoc. The thesis was supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Kieu Oanh (Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến) and Professor Eric Gontier (University of Picardie Jules Verne, France).

The defense was attended by a seven-member Evaluation Committee, including: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung – Chairman; Prof. Dr. Marie-Genevieve Dijoux Franca – University of Lyon 1, France; Dr. Pham Tuan Anh – Hanoi University of Pharmacy; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Nguyen Thanh – National Institute of Medicinal Materials; Assoc. Under the chairmanship of the Committee Chairman, the Council reviewed and approved the candidate’s academic profile, research achievements, training process, and scientific results throughout the course of the doctoral study. The Committee highly appreciated the candidate’s serious research attitude and the outcomes achieved.

In the context of the increasing prevalence of modern diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic inflammation, and premature aging, oxidative stress is considered a major factor affecting human health. In response, antioxidant compounds have attracted significant attention in the fields of food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics due to their ability to neutralize free radicals, protect cells, and reduce oxidative damage. Research and application of natural antioxidants are expected to contribute to effective solutions for disease prevention, health improvement, and slowing down the aging process.

Based on this orientation, PhD candidate Nguyen Phuong Nhi presented the main contents and findings of her thesis before the Committee.

The research focuses on Golden Camellia, a valuable medicinal plant in Vietnam, aiming to analyze its metabolite profiles and evaluate antioxidant activity through an integrated and modern approach.

Motivated by an interest in medicinal plant research and the opportunity to pursue this topic, the candidate employed metabolomics an emerging research field in Vietnam to clarify the relationship between chemical composition and biological activity. The findings not only provide scientific evidence supporting the value of Golden Camellia but also open up potential applications in the fields of medicinal plants and healthcare.

The defense was successfully conducted, marking a dedicated and persistent research journey of PhD candidate Nguyen Phuong Nhi. Sharing after the defense, the candidate expressed great satisfaction that her efforts throughout the research process had been recognized and duly rewarded.

Following the discussion, the Committee held a closed session and conducted a vote, with a result of 100% approval (7/7 votes). On behalf of the Committee, the Chairman congratulated the candidate on successfully defending her thesis and acknowledged the contributions of the research to the field of medicinal plants.

Before concluding the ceremony, PhD candidate Nguyen Phuong Nhi expressed sincere gratitude to the University, her supervisors, colleagues, friends, and family for their continuous support throughout her academic and research journey.

During the defense, the candidate presented the key findings of the thesis, focusing on evaluating the synergistic effects of two compounds Diisopropylamine Dichloroacetate (DADA) and Fenbendazole in lung cancer models.

Lung cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related mortality worldwide, highlighting the urgent need for more effective treatments with fewer side effects. In response to this challenge, the thesis adopts a combinational approach, integrating compounds with different mechanisms of action to enhance therapeutic efficacy through synergistic effects. Experimental studies on both cellular and biological models demonstrated that the combination of DADA and Fenbendazole more effectively inhibits the proliferation of lung cancer cells compared to the use of each compound individually. These initial findings contribute to clarifying the potential of combination therapy in oncology and lay the groundwork for further in-depth studies in the future.

The thesis holds not only academic significance in the field of medical biotechnology but also practical value in guiding future research and development strategies for cancer therapeutics.

The Committee highly appreciated the novelty, applicability, and rigor of the research conducted by PhD candidate Nguyen Quang Thai. Notably, the study follows a “drug repurposing” approach, leveraging existing compounds to identify new therapeutic applications, thereby reducing the time and cost of drug development. Following the presentation and discussion, the Committee held a closed session and conducted a vote on the thesis. As a result, the thesis received strong consensus from all Committee members.

On behalf of the Committee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Nam congratulated PhD candidate Nguyen Quang Thai on the successful defense and acknowledged the meaningful scientific contributions made in the field of medical biotechnology. In the coming time, the research will be further expanded to elucidate mechanisms of action, assess toxicity, and advance toward more in-depth experimental stages. Before concluding the ceremony, PhD candidate Nguyen Quang Thai expressed sincere gratitude to the Faculty of Life Sciences, his supervisors, the Scientific Committee, colleagues, friends, and family for their continuous support and encouragement throughout his academic and research journey, culminating in the achievement of his doctoral degree.

The special course “Dynamic Archive of Hanoi: Chemical Reaction of SciEng x Art”, supported by the Japan Foundation in Vietnam, was held in March 2026, offering students at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến) an inspiring interdisciplinary journey that bridged science, engineering, and artistic expression.

The course was led by two experienced Japanese experts in monozukuri education and the arts: 

  • Mr. Etsuroh Tetsuya – Professor at Tokyo Gakugei University and Vice President of the non-profit organization Institute for Children’s Future 
  • Mr. Yuta Kikawada – Architect and researcher at Tokyo Gakugei University.

At the “Harvesting Day” closing session on March 25, 2026, Mr. Yoshiaka Norihiko, Director of The Japan Cultural Exchange Center in Vietnam, shared that the course not only produced impressive creative outcomes but also clearly demonstrated Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến students’ proactive learning spirit and interdisciplinary connectivity. 

Throughout the program, students collaborated in teams under the guidance of mentors, developing ideas rooted in real-life contexts in Hanoi and progressively bringing them to fruition at Goodd889 cá cược trực tuyến’s FABLAB and co-working space—where concepts evolved beyond ideas into tangible outcomes through testing, prototyping, and refinement using advanced fabrication technologies.

Starting from simple things in life, each team systematically developed and completed their projects. Every product not only demonstrated creativity but also reflected interdisciplinary thinking and practical applicability; each project conveyed a compelling narrative centered on the connection between science and real-life contexts.

Notably, the organizing committee selected three outstanding projects based on innovation, level of completion, and community impact:

  • Project 1: Speed Detector Model using Ultrasonic Sensors
  • Project 2: Portable Air Quality Detector
  • Project 3: Auto Laundry Sensor System

More than just a course, this program functioned as a true “creative sandbox”—an environment where students learned to think critically, experiment, and integrate knowledge across disciplines.
